Hey everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays! I ended up doing most of Christmas shopping this weekend which was not a very smart thing to do because it was so crazy in the stores! I luckily got everything I needed, and it only took me a couple of hours thanks to the help of my dad and my niece, Mya. The reason I didn’t make start Christmas shopping until this past weekend was because I have been so busy with school and trying to get all my vaccines and stuff done for pharmacy school. It is so crazy how busy the end of the semester is. I had two tests on the last day, so I had been spending most of my time studying or hanging out with my friends. I still need to recap the Route 66 marathon relay and the Turkey Trot I did with my brother. I know have quite a bit of time on my hands so I will definitely get those up soon.
P.S. I will be inserting some random pictures so it doesn’t end up being an all word post.
Apple Martini:)
I know I have not been commenting on blogs like I used to, but I promise that whenever I had free time from studying, I was totally reading.
I made a Treble in the Kitchen taco-style spaghetti squash. It was super delish!
I know I have mentioned before how excited I am about starting pharmacy school in the spring, but the closer the end of the semester got, the more excited I became. Meeting the deadlines, and everything else just makes it that much more real which is insane! I only have a couple of more things to complete. I also went to enroll earlier this month, and it was such a crazy feeling. I’ll be in a small class of about 35 students so we will all have the same classes at the same time, everyday. One of my really great friends got in with me so we have been texting back and forth of how excited we are for January.
Anyways, I’m very excited to be spending Christmas eve with all of my family. Since my brothers are married, it’s hard to all spend the holidays together since their wives also want to spend them with their families. This year though all my brothers will be at my parents house so I am a very happy girl.
My mom has been working so hard to get so many tamales made for tomorrow.
Ugly Christmas sweater party with my girlies:)
I’m hoping to get in a nice long run tomorrow before the rest of my family arrives. I’ve been trying to increase my mileage a bit before I start training for a half marathon in April. I ran a couple of times last week, but I’ve taken the last few days off to rest. I’m loving my Nike GPS watch. I like that it does everything that I need it to do. I bought the white for myself as a “congrats for getting into pharmacy school” gift.
Bundled up for a 30* outdoor run.
Taken while I was on my run. Haha:) I wanted to send it to my brother to show him how much fun I was having running in the cold.
On Thursday, it was first day of break so I was getting ready to go ice skating with my friends. I got bored and decided to cut myself some bangs. I figured if Janae was brave enough, then I could be too. This could have ended very horrific, but luckily they came out okay.
One of my friends told me I looked sassy. Haha:)
Tia and I ice skating. Kinda. We were actually sitting down at this point because the ice was really dangerous and had crazy ice skaters that would go in between you even if you were holding hands with your bff! So rude. The bangs barely a few hours old.
I hope everyone has a great Christmas with their families. I cannot wait to be obnoxious and take a bunch of pictures of everyone. I just hope I don’t get too distracted by food.;)
Have you ever tried to cut your own hair?
Random: Favorite Christmas song?
“All I Want for Christmas” by Mariah Carey. It just doesn’t get old.
What are your holiday plans?

/ December 23, 2012I think your bangs look cute. I always cut my own bangs, though my stylist gets mad at me. I just don’t want to go in every few weeks.
I did an early celebration with most of my family. On Christas day it will just be my husband and myself (and our dogs!).

/ December 23, 2012Congrats on being done with finals! I had my last finals this past week too so I feel your pain! I don’t have the balls to cut my own hair! I am almost never happy when a professional stylist does it, so I can only imagine the disaster that I would end up making. You look great though!

/ December 25, 2012Finals are the worst so I’m glad they are over with fast! I almost freaked out because I had thought that I messed them up. Thanks!

/ December 24, 2012Congratulations on getting into pharmacy school-so exciting! I have cut my bangs, many years ago, but I learned that curly hair is extremely unpredictable so I decided to leave it to the pros. Plus now I have no bangs. We’ll be joining friends for Christmas tomorrow and it should be pretty mellow; just how I like it.
